enough

My artwork has recently been plagiarized, stolen by someone who created lies about my drawings, lies that MY cats were her cats, etc. It felt like someone wearing my clothes, pretending to be me. It's sickening.

To anyone who may have cared about the work I created, I'm posting this note to say that I won't be using this blog anymore. Since 2005 to now... goodbye.

I'm sorry to hear that - both that you had your work stolen and that you will be shutting down your blog. I have been following it for a while and have been inspired by your art. Good luck!

I've been following your blog since 2005... and will miss your beautiful drawings which have always been a delight. You are very talented and I am glad I had the privilege to witness the range of your art over the years and its consistently high calibre. There is a dark underbelly to the freedom the Internet gives us to share our work. I, too, have experienced forms of plagiarism with my writing to the extent that now I encrypt all of my creative writing so that I can find it (my blog since 2004 an archive for me) without worrying that it'll be ripped off by others with no ethics. I think when you discover plagiarism you don't really have a choice anymore about public posts. It hurts like anything, such a rip-off, such blatant thefts. I can understand shutting your blog down, but do hope that you continue your daily drawings even without the substantial audience you have developed here over the years. I wish you much success, Esther, in all you do. xo Brenda

This is must be so frustrating and maddening for you. People who steal other people's work make me so angry.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you and I hope the thief gets their Karma 100-fold. I will dearly miss your beautiful drawings.

Sorry to see your blog go. Loved to follow your daily drawings. I don't understand people who steel the work of others.

so sorry to hear that. your work is amazing that's why I drop by everyday to take a look. often I wished I could do that drawing or painting, but I c annot because I do not put that much time into it. I wish you all the best. as to this person stealing your work in a way its a compliment since they would not present it as their own if it was not that good.

I am so sorry that this happened to you. I will miss seeing your drawings in my daily feed. They inspired me to keep up with the practice of daily drawings as well. If you move to a more secure online site, will you drop a word here so we can find you?

Here to echo the others -- I'm sad you've had to shut down your blog. I loved it, and every time I visited, I was inspired to get my sketchbook out.

Thanks for the years of drawings, and a pox on the plagiarizer.

what an absolute shame. I clicked through since my blogger home page wasn't showing the images, and now I see why.

I hope some day you can return to posting your work, it'll be odd not seeing it since I've seen it daily since 200...7?

take care of yourself, Ester.
